Anderson, IN Anderson, IN Full-time Full-time From $16 an hour From $16 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Indiana Media Group is looking for an accounting professional to perform and assist with credit and collections and other general accounting responsibilities at our central business office in downtown Anderson, Indiana.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for general credit and collection functions such as new and existing customer credit analysis, account setup and maintenance, communication with advertisers on account inquiries and past due accounts and posting of customer payments and adjustments.
This position is an integral part of the daily accounting and business office operation that works with the company's midwestern locations.
This position will also perform other general accounting tasks such as accounts payable entry as needed.
A two-year accounting degree and a minimum of two years of experience in credit and collections and/or day-to-day accounting functions is preferred.
Experience working in a centralized accounting office is a plus.
Qualified candidates will have solid general office skills, and the ability to complete multiple tasks on deadlines.
The ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written form is a critical component of this position.
Candidates should also be proficient in general office applications such as Excel and Word, and be able to learn specialized, industry-unique business systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
