Adjunct Faculty - Business Administration

General Description of Position:
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis.
The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.

Responsibilities:
PROGRAM OPERATION:
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc.
as appropriate.
In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
Promote same as an integral part of one's work.
Minimum
Qualifications:
A qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes:
Possesses an earned master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or a business- administration-related field as appropriate to the program); or Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester /27 quarter credit hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program; or Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
In-field national, regional, or state professional certification (does not include teaching license or certificate) Three years of in-field professional employment in the industry (teaching in the area is not considered in-field professional employment).
Documentation of research and publication in the field Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 15 semester/22 quarter credit hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military training.
Possesses an earned bachelor's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business- administration-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following :
Professional certification (national, regional or state) in business related field (does not to include a teaching license or certificate) Three years of in-field professional employment in business related field (teaching in the area is not considered in-field professional employment) Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award Documentation of research and publication in the field Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military training.
BUSN 201 Course Standard:
Meets Business Administration program standard; or Possess an earned Juris Doctorate Degree.
BUSN 230 Course Standard:
1.
Meets Business Administration program standard; or 2.
Possesses an earned Master's degree in Statistics; or 3.
Possesses an earned Master's degree in Math or Science with documented coursework in statistics equivalent to 3 semester credit hours.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
