We train and promote from withinExcellent low-cost health benefitsRetirement plan with employer-paid contributionsPaid vacation and 10 holidaysOur Workers' Compensation department is seeking a qualified Manager to oversee our Workers' Compensation program, which is currently self-insured and self-administered in California, Washington, and Wisconsin, is self-insured and third party administered in Oregon, and is fully insured in other states.
This position is based from our Anderson, CA main office, in Shasta County, California.
Shasta County is home to lakes, mountains, rivers, parks, hundreds of miles of trails, and a variety of other outdoor attractions, making this the perfect outdoor community to live, work, and play in!About The Positiono Supervise and develop central team of claims adjusters and support staffo Ensure compliance with various jurisdictional workers' compensation laws and regulationso Establish and enforce standards and procedures for matters related to the workers' compensation programo Manage vendor services, including third party administrators, bill pay, and insurance carrierso Advise the Company regarding financial impacts and risks of claims through regular reportingo Manage legal services necessary to defend the Company concerning contested or litigated claimso Advise division managers and safety professionals on claim experience and reserves to inform safety initiativeso Work with facility managers and supervisors to promote interactive process and early return to worko Develop strong relationships with care providers to ensure best claim outcomes.
o Adapt internal work processes and procedures to changes in regulations or Company policyo Continually evaluate system or procedural improvements that minimize risk and cost of the programo Willing and able to travel to various locations on a regular basisQualificationso At least five years' experience with Workers' Compensation or similar matters, preferably in Californiao Preference given to applicants who possess self-insured certifications in CA and WAo Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skillso Proven ability to work independently, discretely, and handle confidential informationo Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously to achieve expected resultsWhy Join Our Team?Because this is more than an invitation, it's a commitment to offer opportunities for personal and professional growth to everyone! The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $90,000 to $135,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to:
