Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents from dictation or form file and e file with the court - Be responsible for discovery in all cases, whether incoming or outgoing - Schedule hearings, appointments, mediations - Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines - Work well with clients, other attorneys and court staff - Answer the phone, purchase office supplies, organize documents in files Skills:
- Adobe, Excel, and My Case Dashboard - Typing, to quickly and efficiently go through dictation - Excellent organization skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Familiarity with the legal system - Ability to sift through a lot of information and keep track of it - Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices As a the only legal assistant/manager for a busy solo practice attorney, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent legal services to our clients.
This candidate must be dedicated, experienced, mature, and amazing at what he or she does.
If you have experience working in family law, that is a plus.
