Ingredient Processing Operator

The Ingredient Processing Operator is responsible for receiving and processing raw milk and oils, preparing the sugar and cocoa solutions and operating the dry ingredient dosing to ensure that the UHT operation has adequate supply to operate the facility. This includes receiving and unloading trucks of milks and oils, transferring and storing the ingredients into silos and loading trucks of cream to be shipped to other Nestl facilities. They are also responsible for processing the raw milk, operation of the dry ingredient dosing and working with suppliers to meet the production schedule.

- Unload or load milk, oils or cream according to inbound dock schedule and production schedule into proper storage silos.
- Conduct quality and regulatory checks on incoming materials, accurately recording results and taking action in case of deviation.
- C.I.P. milk tankers, silo?s and equipment used for milk transfers, as well as keeping the receiving bays, silo rooms, receiving areas, and office clean.
- Receive milk, oils, and shipments of cream into SAP.
- Maintain proper rotation of silos and products, and assure CIP is performed on a timely basis.
- Communicate with raw material venders and transport to ensure on time delivery.
- Communicates with UHT Operators to ensure smooth operation.
- Ensure sugar and cocoa slurry is available to meet the production schedule.
- Operate the sugar dissolver, sugar storage, and delivery system; operate the cocoa slurry system; operate the dry ingredient bulk stations, weigh and add minor ingredients into the scanima mixers.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adhere to the quality standards outlined in the HACCP plan, QMS and other quality SOP?s.
- Pull product samples and perform quality inspections on the product and packaging as required.
- Perform the sanitation of the equipment and area (includes disassembly and assembly of equipment).
- Take action and ensure that proper follow-up has taken place when quality defects occur.
- Perform autonomous maintenance on the line and area (including basic lubrication, inspection, cleaning, tightening, measuring wear and other attributes, listening and observing line running).
- Participate in review of the preventative maintenance plans.
- Generate work orders in AMM.
- Work with others to identify the root cause of downtime and ensure that downtime is accurately recorded in a downtime collection system such as SAM.
- Work well with your peers and team to make recommendations on how to improve the operations to optimize production with positive contribution to all plant indicators safety, quality, cost and service.
- Follow-up on issues to ensure that they are completed and that the issues are addressed.
- Responsible for the operation and performance of the line area.
- Effectively and efficiently operate, adjust and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Utilized SPC and other tools and training to manage the process (includes equipment controls, net weights and operating parameters).
- Work safely and report any unsafe situations and maintain housekeeping.
- Ensure that usage of ingredients and packaging material and labor hours are accurately recorded in SAP.
High School diploma or GED

Two years experience or post secondary education.

- Able to work with computers (navigating systems, recording information, using to find information to perform the job).

- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Accountable for personal development and improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be able to obtain any licenses or certificates required either by Nestle or outside regulatory agency, local, state, or federal as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
