POSITION
Summary:
The Production Planner implements and refines production planning to increasingly streamline operations and support the supply chain goals and objectives of Anderson and the Beverage division.
Key activities include providing a short term supply plan that delivers the total lowest delivered cost overall and meets customer expectations.
Optimizes the department to ensure that business needs are achieved in a timely & efficient manner.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Works with divisional demand planning, supply planning and logistics to ensure that plant goals are achieved while meeting customer needs.
Prepares detailed production schedules in SAP/APO based on Master Production Schedule (MPS) generated by corporate supply chain.
Provide converted process orders in a timely manner for plant production to release.
Effectively assists with the management of inventory levels at all stages to ensure that production needs are achieved while balancing working capital.
Is responsible to be the communication link for scheduling between departments both internally and at corporate as it relates to inventory management and shipping.
Tracks production schedule attainment and associated Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and reports on a timely basis.
Attends production, scheduling and other relevant meetings to ensure insight into production capacity and capabilities are identified.
Works with on-site product development team to ensure speed to market.
Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
BS/BA degree (preferably in an Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Business Management).
Experience:

2 years experience in production planning and/or supply chain management required.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles is preferred.

Understanding of Manufacturing and Distribution processes is preferred.
